Tri State "T" 4 the 50's and Doo Wop

    FAQs - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Perhaps you'll Find the answers to all you questions below:

Oh - Where can I get a Tri State "T" ticket?
How can I be on the Waiting List? Sorry we have sold out and all ticket requests are now on line - click here to see those who want to buy a ticket - and click here for instructions on how to be on the Waiting List.

May I just attend the Meet N Greet, The 50's Doo Wop Dinner or the Breakfast?
Yes, but the ticket is for all three events, separate tickets will not be sold.

Do I need a ticket to Sashay, Vamp and Strut Your Stuff on the Riverwalk Parade?
This event is open to all in Red Hat Regalia and will be lead by two chapters: "Red Hats on the Go" of Pahrump, Nevada and "Rock N Ladies" of Highland, California. These leaders will have the fun of corralling all Red and Pink Hatters on Saturday Morning. Plan to be outside the Flamingo Diner at 10:45 AM for the 11:00 AM start.

Can everyone shop at M' Lady's Closet?
NO! You must be a Red Hat Society member and wear your special wrist band to attend the shopping event which is held in the in the Macaw Rooms and the Swan Room in the Arizona Tower at the Flamingo. This is a great opportunity for Red Hat Members to shop for all your Red Hat needs and wants. Those registered for the 3-day Tri State "T" will receive special wrist bands when they bring their tickets to the TsT4 Registration area. All others must register to attend - this "private" event is only for Red Hat Society membters!

How will I get my ticket for this event?
Follow the instructions on the Registration form, mail us your check and Stamped Self Addressed envelope. All 3 day seating was assigned in the order the registration was received. If you are the one that sent in the Registration with a self addressed stamped envelope be sure to be looking for the ticket(s) that were mailed to you July 5, 2006.
If you want a Day-Pass only, then click here for the registration form.

Should we arrive at the events early to be sure we get a table?
Absolutely not - All seating is at reserved tables. Your ticket number will show your assigned table and we do not want you standing in lines before the doors are opened at 5:30 PM on Friday and Saturday. Our plan is to not crowd the doors as we know you'll feel better if you can just walk in, sit down and enjoy - right? - So, NO early arrivals, ok?

Why is there a Seating Chart on the web site?
The Purple Prose has traditionally approached seating differently than other Red Hat events by assigning tables in advance to avoid that "Cattle Call" scene when the doors are opened at the event. We have learned from the past that we could eliminate the huge crowds at the door ways if we posted the seating chart on our web site. This is the "no Surprises" approach to seating. Please be assured that we have done our best to make sure that everyone has been treated fairly.

The room layout for Tri State "T" 4 is not as it has been in the past! The ballroom this year has about 1/3rd more space and we added a dance floor which is The Center and Focal Point of the ballroom. Since the Dance Floor is the room's focal point, all of the Gold seating circles the dance floor, followed by a circle of Red seating and then the Purple. Each order was stamped with a Confirmation Number. Those numbers were followed when planning the table assignments as close as possible and within the 3 seating levels.

Why isn't Tea being served in the afternoon at Tri State "T"?
We listened to the suggestions and learned that many would like to shop, play and sight see during the day while in Laughlin. We know you'll enjoy Friday Evening's Meet & Greet as well as Saturday's super dinner, great evening entertainment and a dance floor for the fun of it all ~ oh yes!!

Does the Tri State "T" Registration fee include the room?
No.... you'll each have to book and pay for your own rooms. Click here for the special rate for our Red Hat attendees....Normal rates at this time of year are about $59.00+ per weekend night.

Are you having a Pajama Breakfast?
Not this time... Hotel check out is 11:00 AM and we want you to have plenty of time to enjoy breakfast dressed in your casual Red Hat clothing. However, your favorite "Dolly", Bear, Mascot, or other inanimate creature may be dressed as you please as she/he/it sits in the center of your table for our most unusual "Dolly Breakfast".

Is the $100.00 per Person Only for the "T"?
The seating for Tri State "T" is for three great events - and 2 days of shopping for Red Hat goodies ~ More bang for the buck as they say - we anticipate you'll be pleasantly surprised with the value received at this Tri State "T".

Why is there a choice of ticket prices? What is the difference?
Think about theater seats, cruise cabins, airplane seats - You get there at the same time, but some sit closer to the action!! The Gold seating will be adjacent to the stage and the dance floor. The Red seating is behind the Gold and the balance of the Room is Purple.

What does the $100.00 actually cover?
Three days of events starting at 6:00 PM on Friday, Dinner on Saturday and Breakfast on Sunday. Of course also included is your addmission to Red Hat shopping for 2 days, great entertainment, prizes and favors and the opportunity to enjoy the company of Red Hat members in the Tri State area and beyond. Please keep in mind, we do not have a paid staff - we just pass on the costs. Where else can you go for so much fun for so little?
Enjoy Painting Laughlin Red for the 4th year !

Where will I be sitting and can I sit with my friends?
All seats are reserved and seating is assigned on a "first come/first served" basis within the section you select.  IF you and your friends plan ahead and send in one check with one reservation form you will be seated together as space permits ( If there's more than 10 in your group, we'll have to separate the group as the tables are for 10.) Remember tho, each form must be accompanied by a Self-addressed, Stamped envelope OR $5.00 to cover postage and handling. See the Seating Chart for the location of your table.

I have sent in our reservation for 11 of us from our chapter. I know the tables are for 10. Is there anyway we can "SQUEEZE" in the 11th person at our table?
As much as we know it can be done... the hotel must abide by fire and safety rules... so the answer is NO. What we try to do is to have your group at adjoining tables and then split your tickets - i.e. 8 at one table and 3 at the table next to you (or a Purple Prose lady may be an Ambassador at your table - so then we would split them 9 and 2). Also, keep in mind that meeting new friends is a Red Hat goal!!

Will you reserve a table for us?
Yes, with payment. We believe we have a fair system - all seating is assigned in the order the reservations are received with payment. Please don't put our staff on the spot.

I am meeting a friend from far away. How can we arrange to sit together?
We suggest you and your friend coordinate and send in one Registration Form. It's almost impossible - and just plain not fair - to hold seating for one or a few - when others have made the effort to send their money in on one form to be assured of "sitting together". Any notes requesting "favors" may get lost - remember the committee will be receiving lots of mail in a very short time period and may not deal with the exceptions very well.

May two or three of us share one ticket?
No, we have found the most efficient way to check people in and let them enjoy the events is by exchanging a Holographic Bracelet for your ticket when you arrive. Therefore, each person must have her own ticket as she'll receive a trouble-free wrist-band indicating her table number and seat number for the prize drawings.

May I fill out the registration for my members, or is this something they must sign?
NO Signatures needed by us - you may want to have many forms filled out for your use, but we really are not set up to handle a group of forms - only one form per check and one stamped self addressed envelope please. We do not need or want a list of names - the seats at the table(s) will be reserved in your name and you will receive tickets to distribute to your group.

Will we receive Name Tags at the event?
NO - please order name badges in advance (so you'll remember who you are?). We have found that everyone needs to have their own personal identification - it's more fun to see a variety of Name Badges. If interested - click here to see where we order ours.

My "girls" want to know-what is glitzy? In the 50's era or now?
For the Friday night Meet 'N Greet the committee is visualizing how pretty we all look in our Red Hat apparel as we dress today! And when we add lots of Bling (our diamonds and/or other Sparkley stuff) we are then in "just our very best' Red Hat apparel and we look wonderful and truly Glitzy!

What should I wear?

Always wear your Red Hat Regalia at a Purple Prose event. Friday night you'll want to wear your finest glitzy-est Red Hat attire at the Meet N Greet. Saturday night is our 50's & Doo Wop party and many will be wearing costumes from the 50's and of course trying so to get them in the ‘right' Red Hat colors. Sunday morning we encourage you to be in your Red Hat casual for the final event and fond farewells as you wave good bye to your friends.

Why should I wear my "Colors" all weekend?
Best to be prepared for even more fun when you are dessed like you belong! And if you want to shop, M'Lady's Closet is open only to Red Hatters wearing their spcial wrist bands... and of course it's more fun to be wearing our colors. Don't forget you'll want to be in your Regalia for the Sashay, Vamp and Strut Your Stuff on the Riverwalk Parade.

Who are the Vendors in M'Lady's Closet?
Click and Read the list of your favorite vendors who will be in M' Lady's Closet in the Macaw Rooms and the Swan Room in the Arizona Tower at the Flamingo. This is a great opportunity for Red Hat Members to shop for all your Red Hat needs and wants. If you do not have a ticket to attend the 3-day Tri State "T" - you must register to attend - this is a "private" event only for Red Hatters!

I'd like to be a Vendor
Please click here and write to Dodie, The Wardrobe Mistress, who (at the end of June ) is sending invitations to last years vendors prior to inviting others about a week later if spaces exist. As with our ticketing - "first come first served".

Something's unexpected has happened - may I have a refund for TsT4?
Please first check and see if someone within your chapter is on a "chapter waiting list". If no one within your chapter wants your ticket, then the answer is YES as long as we have a waiting list AND your ticket is received by us prior to September 1. Enclose a self addressed stamped envelope and mail your ticket to us at Purple Prose, P. O. Box 4341, Kingman AZ 86402. No requests will be honored after September 1 since a list of those awaiting tickets will be posted on this web site.

My question isn't answered - where can I find out what I need to know?
Look one more time and then send an email to The Baroness of the Bazaar and indicate on the subject line that you have a Question about Tri Sate "T". You'll receive a reply as soon as she can jiggle the brain and the fingers at the same time.
