As usual, Purple Prose did an outstanding job of providing food, entertainment, shopping and accommodations at an incredibly reasonable price. Thank you. I know that it is not an easy task, yet you do it well. I have never heard negative comments about your events. If I did, I'd be sure to listen then tell them exactly what I think!

Check-in/Check-out - Amazingly easy! Prepaying and being able to get the room keys without standing in line at the main front desk was great! Only suggestion for check-in would be to have bigger signs for the alphabet so ladies do not get their panties in a bunch by standing in the wrong line. The area was a bit cramped with ladies and luggage for easy traffic flow. Check-out was great! Because I had pre-paid my two nights, and didn't charge anything to the room, it was simply a matter of turning on the TV and clicking a button to check out. Worse part about check-out is getting an elevator that has room for people and luggage when everyone is trying to leave. Some ladies can be very rude at this point. The hotel construction was an extremely minimal inconvenience. I've been to events where it's been much much worse!

Friday Night - I was a bit disappointed that wine was complimentary but soda and water carried a charge. Would suggest table water service and perhaps ice tea for those of us who do not drink wine/alcohol. Would suggest in the future to have at least 4 complete stations to the number of people attending. Four stations would handle approximately 250 each, with two lines on each side. Those of us standing in the taco line were constantly being cut by ladies coming from the cheese/fruit line, who felt they had the right to cut. The lines were rather long. Many of the older or physically challenged ladies cannot stand in lines that long. Catering staff may need a pep talk about keeping the area clean and food refreshed quicker. Unfortunately, I brushed up against something that was spilled at the service table and have a couple stains on my best outfit. Of course, the women could be a little less messy too when dishing their plates! ;)

Shopping - Good vendor selection. Need better lighting. Still never figured out the cookbook signing. Having it only on Sunday after breakfast didn't work for many as they had to drive or fly and couldn't stay. We had heard that it was going to be Friday afternoon and during the day on Saturday. I know this wasn't a planned TST event, but thought it would have gone over great if it could have been presented and get the authors to sit and sign for a bit.

Saturday Night - Great time! Grandpa was a little scary though! I liked him better as Red Skelton. Liza was very good. Glad she brought the beefcake boys instead of female dancers! Food - I wasn't fond of the sauce on the chicken, but for convention food it was as expected. The dessert…wow! What a slice of cheesecake! Everyone looked great.

Sunday Morning - Good food and plentiful. Scrambled eggs require ketchup. ;) If it was there, I missed it. Great that there were 4 complete food stations to minimize the lines. We did have trouble getting hot tea at our table. Asked many times with the comment being "I'll tell your server." I don't drink it, but a couple of the ladies did and were getting frustrated that it was not as readily available as the coffee was. Hot water and tea bags as well as carafes of coffee at the tables might be a good idea.

I was glad to see the Princess Daughters taking a more visual active role and reducing the additional stress and stage time for you and Joan. Brenda did a fantastic job as MC! She has an enjoyable sense of humor and quick wit. Now we just have to get her and Laurie into lavender & pink and a hat! LOL

I hope that you will take these comments in the manner intended. You know that as a corporate meeting planner (past life now!) I'm only trying to help. I love that you take the time to assign tables. It just makes it so much easier not to have to deal with people saving seats and the mad rush to get in. I also love that if there is a concern, you immediately address it and make it go away. You truly are doing everything right. Please don't stop! I know it can get frustrating at times.

Now, a question - is there going to be a Frolic on Fremont? I need to get my calendar set for next year! Isn't it funny how you can't even be done with this year and you already have to have next year in place!?!       (we're working on this and you'll know as soon as we know!/BofB)

And, I'm assuming there will be plenty of cake and ice cream at next year's birthday party…right? J

Take care, dear ladies. And as always, let me know if I can ever be of help. Thank you again for an enjoyable weekend.

Beverly and Queen Joan:

I hope you are glowing in the love you created for us at your TRI STATE TEA IV. There are not enough superlatives to describe the magnificence of your undertaking.

I kept hearing statements such as, "This is so much better than the National Convention." Headquarters could learn a lot from these gals. There wasn't a cattle call rushing for tables. It was such an orderly process with the wristbands for all events with assigned seating."...... etc., etc. Some said, "I wonder how they can do so much for so little?" My only explanation was, "They must do it via raffle tickets."

You must have paid a bundle for Liza. Everyone exclaimed over her act. Of course, we all want to know where she appears so we can tell our friends and family where to go.

Your gifts at each event were so impressive and thrilled us. The lighted glasses Sat. evening created such ambiance. You gals must be drawing on some Higher Power to come up with so many nice touches.

I get such a kick out of seeing how Joan rules so regally. What a Royal Presence she has, unmatched by any Queen I've seen. I hardly recognized her when I saw her outside M'Lady's closet without her regalia. She's pretty unfestooned too, huh.

As I say, there aren't enough adjectives to convey what a WONDERFUL JOB you did. I am in awe. Can hardly wait until next year...........already thinking of a costume for BIRTHDAYS. Sure was fun being SAG HIGH Cheerleaders this year. I want Joan to know that Jodie dragged me over to harass her husband--at least I think that's what Jodie said. Maybe it was her lover??? I would not have done that without Jodie's prompting....honest.

All the ladies kept saying, "What have you got under there for jiggly boobs? Lift your shirt and show us." So I complied like an idiot and showed them the rubber balls I had pinned to my bra. I apologize. They made me do it.

Rene'e got stricken with vertigo the day before we were to leave and couldn't fulfill the cheerleader gig. Therefore, I took her costume over to a feisty 80-year-old named Bobbi, who learned the routine in a few minutes and did a terrific job as our fourth cheerleader. What a ball of fire Bobbi is.......but, of course, I missed Rene'e and was so sorry she missed the tremendous time you provided for us. Ensenada Jo sure had fun making people laugh as a cheerleader and was adorable. She looked about 18 in that wig, etc. The other gal in our quartet, Marilyn, is such a sweetheart too and is always ready to create fun for everyone. Sure is fun being silly........kinda like the hookers who visited my house some time ago!!! Remember!!!!

Love you.

Hi,
My chapter truly enjoyed the whole weekend, but I asked them for comments/suggestions that I could share:
. . . Entertainment on Saturday was FANTASTIC.
Assigned tables were great.
We all know how hard you work to put this function on and it was a great success as usual. Keep up the good work and if there is anything any I can do to help, just let me know. We are already looking forward to next year.

Greetings, Ladies!
I attended the Tri State T the past two years. I appreciate your hard work and the opportunity to gather with so many Red and Pink Hat ladies.
. . . Saturday's walk along the River Walk was well planned. I was pleased to see the sign holders along the way. It was great to have a beverage at the Golden Nugget. . . .
It was also very nice you had the 80 year and over ladies come up to the stage. It was difficult to see them however. It would have been nice to see them on the stage provided it was not a safety issue.

. . . I realize this event takes much planning, hard work, and dedication.
Respectfully,

Greetings, Sister Beverly, Baroness of the Website..this is Debbie, Co-Queen Lady Flower Child of the Sweet N' Sassy Lassies of Las Vegas, NV. (Table #5).

I am requesting an EARLY NOTICE of the next Tri State T for my Chapter. We had such a wonderful time and are requesting TABLE #5, again, as Queen Mum Joan suggested we do.

If at all possible, please reserve that table for us. If you recall, Princess Daughter, Kathi kept referring to Table 1 & Table 5 during the activities as we were calling out Table 5, Table 5! .

We are hoping to merge our group with Queen MOPS (Raynette) group and really make it big; hopefully 2-3 tables.

As this was our 1st Tri State T, I can tell you that we truly had a fantabulous time!! You and your ladies worked extremely hard to make the event a success.

Yours truly in Purple and Red,
Debbie
